Richard with Members of the Watford Amnesty Group

On Monday May 25th, Richard Harrington, Watford’s Prospective Member of Parliament attended Celebration! 2009 at the Colosseum, along with Lib Dem candidate Sal Brinton and Claire Ward the towns Labour MP.

The event celebrated the diversity of Watford’s population, culturally, religiously and charitably. The voluntary group section was particularly well represented. Different musical acts played all day. The event was very well attended.

Harrington said ,

“I was so happy to be invited to this event, and to be asked to play a small part in it, by passing on David Cameron’s good wishes to the people of Watford. It made me very proud to be part of such a community. The way it has grown from small beginnings to such a huge event, with several thousand people attending, shows exactly what Watford is capable of. Full congratulations should go to the organisers.”
