The council elections were although expected, none the less a real shot across the bow to mainstream politicians up and down the country. Seeing the legitimate anger people had at the doorstep over MP’s expenses, makes you determined that it must never happen again.
There is also a lot of talk about a radical change in our political institutions in Westminster. However, I think it really should be about the individual attitude of MP’s who have been privileged enough to serve his/her constituency. It is not about the system it is about restoring the feeling of pride and honour of having the opportunity to do a public service.
