Hornets donate Football Kit to Tory Volunteers in Rwanda
Watford Manager, Malky Mackay and some of his players, donated several bags of the club’s football strip to budding young footballers in Rwanda.
Richard Harrington, Watford’s prospective MP, received the kit on behalf of the Conservative Party’s 100-strong volunteer force travelling to Rwanda this week for Project Fellowship. This is a worthy cause where doctors, nurses, City types, teachers and many others will undertake all kinds of voluntary work around Rwanda.
Alistair Burt, MP is leading a group of FA-qualified coaches, including himself, who are taking the equipment donated by Watford FC and other Clubs to youngsters in Africa who have none themselves.
Richard Harrington said: “Football is the international language of hope and I am so pleased Watford FC are involved in this project which will help children, who were not born at the time of the genocide, to help themselves build thriving communities”.
