The British Legion’s Poppy Appeal started this week and Richard Harringotn and the Watford Conservatives have given their full support to this campaign. Poppies can now be purchased from the Conservative office on Watford High Street.

Richard, the parliamentary candidate for Watford, said,

“I think the British Legion do a wonderful job supporting current and ex- servicemen and women. I hope that many people will come and buy a poppy from us to support this very worthwhile cause.

“Our forces in Afghanistan show incredible bravery and spirit in the face of tremendous adveristy and think that they need to be shown how much support there is for them.

“With this in mind we started another campaign this week, asking people to sign ‘Thank You’ cards for troops. We recieved an overwhelming amount of signatures for these cards which shows that the people of Watford really are behind our troops.”
