Stockings For Soldiers
What to do?
If you want to help support the troops and bring some cheer to the soldiers in Afghanistan during the upcoming holiday period, you can with “Stockings For Soldiers”. In order to prevent any problems please read through the guidelines below.
What to put in the Stocking?
There is a wide range of items you may wish to send but some suggestions especially for the holiday include toiletries, savoury snacks, packet soups, cereal bars, confectionery (that won’t melt!), socks, t-shirts, books, men’s lifestyle magazines (e.g. 4-4-2, GQ), pens, batteries and a message of support.
Once you’ve stuffed the “Stocking”, put it in a “shoe box” parcel and deposit it at the collection points in Watford ready be sent on to our troops in Afghanistan.
What NOT to include
Aerosols, explosives, pornographic literature and nothing fragile.
Why a Shoe Box?
The military provide guidelines laying out specific measurement by which all shipments to troops must abide and the average shoebox fits the parameters perfectly and makes it far easier to pack effectively.
Stocking Packaging dimensions
Max weight 2kg
Min One surface at least 90mm x 140mm
Max length + Depth + Width= 900mm, with greatest single dimension not more than 600mm.

Leave the destination address blank, but feel free to put a “FROM” address (clearly marked “FROM”)
