I am a strong supporter of the NHS and think it provides a wonderful service to our country. The NHS will be a main priority of me and any future Conservative Government who will work to provide the best service possible for all those who rely on the NHS.

I am also fully behind plans for the proposed health campus at Watford General Hospital. The health campus is good news for Watford and has the backing of the Conservative health chief. In a recent visit to Watford General Hospital, Shadow Secretary of State for Health, Andrew Lansley, declared his support for Watford General Hospital.

The Shadow Minister toured with me  and expressed his support for the proposed health campus saying, “I take the same view that the Strategic Health Authority currently does — That is, this is a project I support.”

I believe that it is essential to maintain frontline services. It is vitally important that money stops being diverted from frontline services by spending too much on management and meeting Government targets. We want to see the NHS’s money go on doctors, nurses and treatments so it helps the people of Britain.
