Local Election candidates
The local elections are being held on the same day as the general election, making it even more important that you turn out and vote for your local Conservatives – especially since 2010 is also the year when Watford gets to vote in a new Mayor.
Please use the links below to see the our local election candidates:
Steve Johnson for Watford Mayor

Steve Johnson has been selected as the Conservative candidate for Watford Mayor. Steve is currently a councillor in Leggatts and will work very hard for the people of Watford, should he be elected.
Steve has been Chairman of a residents association and a hard-working Watford Borough Councillor. As a married father of one, he wants to see hard-working families get a better value-for-money Borough Council.
During his time dealing with the Council, Steve has seen massive amounts of tax-payers’ money wasted before his eyes, which could be put to much better use.
Johnson said, “Thousands of pounds spent on Councillors who never turn up to committees; millions wasted on consultants’ fees; a ridiculous Mayor’s salary of £64,000 and a ‘Political Assistant’ on £35k. It’s all money down the drain and it needs to stop.”
